Day 1: Kigoma To Gombe National Park

To get to Gombe National Park before midday, depart from the Aqua Beach boat pier at 9 a.m. After completing the registration process and reading the park admission rules, you will have a quick lunch break before starting your afternoon hike. We plan for the walk to start at roughly 2:00 p.m. and end around 6:00 p.m. The primary draw of Gombe Stream National Park is undoubtedly the groups of chimpanzees who live there. In order to watch and spend an evening with the remarkable primates, guests go on lengthy hikes into the forest. Gombe Stream’s verdant woodlands host a wide variety of different primate species, including chimpanzees. Along with a diverse range of tropical species, the verdant forest is home to dik-dik, baboons, forest pigs, Valve and Colobus monkeys, and other critters.

Day 2: Morning Trek And Transfer Back To Kigoma

The final day will commence with a scenic journey through the hills to visit the chimpanzees, scheduled for around 8 or 9 a.m., right after breakfast. Following two to three hours of walking and climbing, you’ll arrive at the base, where you can take a break and enjoy lunch before departing the park approximately 13:00. During the hike, you’ll have the opportunity to observe and learn about the natural behaviors of chimpanzees.

I did a 3-days-2-nights trekking with We Cab Tours in Gombe National park. What can I say? Asante sana! The trip was just super perfect! I saw many chimpanzees (it's not guaranteed for sure because as you know how wildlife is sometimes). BUT I did it in the end of March when officially is off-season and I still saw them. The weather was really good too. Juma, the owner and his employees are super nice people. I always felt safe and understood. Moreover everything was on time what is really rare to get - believe me. I would do it with this organization again for sure! And I will do some other trips when I am again in Tanzania
