Daily flights from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Selous) are available between 7 am and 9 am. The flight lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes between Zanzibar and Selous. As you arrive, you’ll begin your first game drive through the park, offering you the chance to see elephants, giraffes, and lions in their natural surroundings. In the afternoon, enjoy a delightful boat cruise along the Rufiji River, where you’ll have the chance to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a diverse array of bird species. After a full day of exploring the park, you will return to your lodge for a tranquil evening and a delightful dinner.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning game drive through the lush forests of Nyerere National Park. Stay alert for wildlife sightings, such as elephants, giraffes, wild dogs, and the rare leopard, while you navigate through the park. Get ready to head to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Nonetheless, this is a brief safari, ensuring you return with unforgettable memories of remarkable wildlife encounters and the stunning beauty of the African scenery.
