overview
The Northern Circuit Route is the latest addition to the routes up Mount Kilimanjaro and is often considered the finest option available. This is because the Northern Circuit route brings together all the finest aspects of the other routes into one amazing hiking experience. The journey to Mount Kilimanjaro starts from the west, beginning with an extended drive from Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Gate. Prepare yourself for breathtaking views from almost every angle as you navigate the mountain at an elevation of 13,000 feet on your journey. This route is the most extended option, usually requiring about nine days to finish, which facilitates improved acclimatization and enhances the likelihood of successfully reaching the summit.
The Northern Circuit route shares its path with the Lemosho Route during the initial days, but instead of remaining on the southern side of Kibo, it diverts to the less frequented northern trails. This route is nearly empty of fellow hikers, leading to serene, tranquil, and uncrowded campsites. The path then merges with the Rongai route, ascending to the summit from the eastern side and descending directly down the southern Mweka Route.
The Northern Circuit route presents breathtaking vistas of the mountain’s northern slopes and the surrounding scenery, ensuring an unforgettable adventure for those who hike it. Opting for the Northern Circuit route for your Kilimanjaro ascent promises a challenging and rewarding adventure that will stay with you forever.
- 9 days of trek via Northern Circuit Route.
- A fabulous view of 360 degrees.
- The longest route with 9 days trek.
- Optional one more day for an afternoonsummit.
