Itinerary

The day begins bright and early, embarking on a journey to the Materuni Community. The drive from Moshi or Arusha takes you through vibrant green scenery and charming little villages, setting the stage for a memorable experience. When you arrive, your guide will determine the best option to begin with, whether it’s exploring waterfalls or touring coffee plantations, taking into account the weather and time available.

The trek from Materuni village to the waterfalls typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, varying with your individual pace and fitness level. The journey is truly captivating as you will encounter a number of charming waterfalls and various canals utilized by local farmers to irrigate their coffee, banana, and other fruit and vegetable crops. Don’t forget to bring along your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the pristine waters of the waterfall.

A visit to a coffee plantation offers an opportunity to observe the entire journey, from planting to roasting. You’ll have the opportunity to experience firsthand our local, bean-to-cup process of crafting rich coffee. Enjoy a moment to unwind and appreciate the delicious lunch and coffee before heading back to the hotel. Consider sampling some regional beverages, such as “Mbege,” a traditional alcoholic drink crafted from bananas and wild finger millet.

I did a 3-days-2-nights trekking with We Cab Tours in Gombe National park. What can I say? Asante sana! The trip was just super perfect! I saw many chimpanzees (it's not guaranteed for sure because as you know how wildlife is sometimes). BUT I did it in the end of March when officially is off-season and I still saw them. The weather was really good too. Juma, the owner and his employees are super nice people. I always felt safe and understood. Moreover everything was on time what is really rare to get - believe me. I would do it with this organization again for sure! And I will do some other trips when I am again in Tanzania

When we booked the "scary ferry" ride to Dar es Salem, we were treated to a complimentary upgrade. We missed the stop in Nairobi where we were supposed to give donations to an orphanage and they made sure to find a reputable one in Zanzibar, and had one of their guides Brendah, translate on our behalf.
