Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), collect your bags, then head to the arrivals area to meet one of our drivers. Our drivers will be holding a sign with your name on it, making them easy to spot in the crowd. They will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From there, sit back, relax, and enjoy a comfortable and hassle-free transfer to your accommodations in Dar es Salaam.
Meet each other at a welcome dinner in the evening. During dinner, we will also go over the itinerary for our time in Tanzania and address any questions or concerns you may have. After a delicious meal and engaging conversation, you can return to your rooms for a restful night’s sleep, knowing that you are in excellent hands and well-prepared for the adventures awaiting you.

Discover Dar es Salaam’s rich history and vibrant presence with a visit to its renowned historical sites, including the National Museum and Village Museum. These museums exhibit the diverse cultural heritage of the city, encompassing ancient artifacts and traditional crafts. In addition, you can discover the vibrant markets and lively neighborhoods that offer a glimpse into the contemporary lifestyle of Dar es Salaam.

We will embark on a 2-hour journey to Bagamoyo, a renowned coastal old town in Tanzania that boasts a rich history of the slave trade and stunning beaches. Bagamoyo, a town with a poignant history, holds the significance of being the final stop for slaves before their departure to distant shores. Derived from Swahili, the name itself translates to “lay down your heart,” capturing the emotional weight of this place.
We will explore the town’s historical ruins, visit the vibrant local markets, and enjoy the serene sandy shores of the Indian Ocean. Once we explore the town, we can enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst a well-organized coconut plantation. Experience authentic Swahili barbecue cuisine by immersing yourself in the aroma and texture of the meal before savoring its vibrant flavors.

Visit Kizimzumbwi Nature Forest for a day, or spend a leisurely day on Mbudya Island’s beautiful beaches. At Kizimzumbwi Nature Forest, discover the abundant flora, diverse avian population, and renowned Minaki Lake. Remember to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking natural beauty and wildlife that inhabit this forest. For a more relaxed experience, visit Mbudya Island, where you can enjoy the sun on the beautiful sandy beaches or explore the clear waters through snorkeling. Regardless of your choice, Tanzania’s breathtaking natural beauty ensures an unforgettable and delightful day for you.

After breakfast and a brief purchasing excursion, you will board a ferry to Unguja Zanzibar. Upon your arrival, we will transport you to the Dreams Hotel or a hotel of comparable quality in Stone Town, where you will reside for three nights.

Following breakfast, you will embark on tours of Prison Island and Stone Town. Prison Island is renowned for its abundance of giant tortoises and offers a chance to snorkel in pristine waters. When visiting Stone Town, you’ll have the opportunity to wander through the charming, narrow streets, surrounded by fascinating historical buildings and vibrant markets. Make sure to check out the renowned House of Wonders and the Old Fort before returning to your hotel for a peaceful evening.
Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast
Today, you will have the opportunity to discover Kijichi village by participating in a spice farm tour and a Swahili cooking class, all while contributing to the local community. On the spice farm tour, you will explore the diverse array of spices cultivated in Zanzibar and their significance in traditional Swahili cuisine. In the cooking class, participants will have the chance to craft a selection of delightful dishes, including pilau rice, coconut curry, and mandazi. Ultimately, we will visit a nearby school or orphanage to contribute supplies and interact with the children, fostering meaningful relationships and creating a positive impact in the community.

Take some time to unwind at the hotel before you leave. Check-out is noon, but you can stay until 12:00 PM for an extra fee, subject to availability. Our driver will arrive promptly for your airport or port transfer, ensuring you have ample time to catch your flight or ferry.
